This event will review the importance of addressing paternal perinatal depression (PPD), identify opportunities and strategies for engaging fathers who may be at risk or experiencing symptoms/signs of PPD and identify strategies and treatment options for PPD.

Part 2: Severe Mental Illness in the Perinatal Period

Presented By: Marina Golts, MD, FRCPC

At the end of this presentation, the audience will be able to assess and identify severe mental illnesses in pregnancy and postpartum, recognize importance to mother, baby and family of treating perinatal mental illness and describe pharmacological and psychosocial treatments for perinatal mental illnesses.

Part 3: Insights from Women Who Have Experienced Late Pregnancy Loss

This event will review presentation of grief following a late loss, review treatment options following a late loss and present the late loss bereavement support group.
